I love these! There are plenty more here too... I love how the different sweaters are used.
I'd love to see my valentine in this, he would be so soft (it's cashmere!), so stylish and warm!

This shirt is so cute! I love how it's recycled from two other shirts. The star stitching is a great touch. You can find more here.
While I've used shirt sleeves for pants, I've never thought about using them for overalls. I love how they are flared a little at the bottom.
First, the color is great, one of my favorites. And then, the stitching! So cute for a little guy.
After making several pairs of these for my little guy, I decided to share my version with those of you who are beginning to sew for your babies. You can find the tutorial here.
I added the squirrel and acorns to cover the moth holes in this cashmere sweater.
here's what they look like without embellishment...
My sister found the best pants for my niece a few years ago. They were cotton outside and flannel inside. It's taken a few years, but I finally made a pair. And they turned out so well, that I made another pair for my nephew.
a recycled cotton and wool headband for a superhero bride...
and an upcycled pelican shirt for her little brother..
Wow. I want it all. Dresses, sweaters, cowls, skirts all in recycled wool and cashmere. Super stylish. I could look great, be warm and comfortable. You'll want it all too. Tamara does an amazing job of putting it all together.

These little caps are so sweet! I wish I had discovered them when Fyn was tiny. They would be a great for a baby gift. Hmm, two of my friends are pregnant right now... There are more fantastic recycled gifts here...
While I'm not a coffee drinker, I love this idea for my chai! I need to make a bigger purse, so I can fit it in there along with my nylon shopping sacks.

What would life be like if the poppa gave birth and carried the babies like we mommas do?
Looks like we are going to have a fun weekend, so I'll be back with more cashmere finds next week!

It was hard to decide what to put in Fyn's stocking, but it seemed to come together at the last minute as Tommy (aka Santa) showed up a bit earlier than usual with some great recycled and handmade toys, procured locally, of course. The felted fruits, veggies and eggs were inspired by my friends, and a day of needlefelting earlier in the month. The fabric gifts bags were a big hit. I loved them because they are made of gorgeous recycled fabrics, and no tissue paper is needed. T loved how it was fast to wrap with them. Instead of gift tags, I wrote names on a second piece of grosgrain ribbon, that part was easy too. Our families loved them, and kept them for future reuse. I'm making more for next year!

The twelve days of Christmas start on Christmas Day and extend until Three Kings Day, or Epiphany. It seemed the perfect way for me to complete all my holiday plans, with family here to help. We baked gingerbread cookies, rolling out the dough and cutting the shapes.
While we were making the frosting for the three kings cake today, I spread a little on a cookie, which made it feel like dancing!
